Brett - sounds like your trip is turning into a great adventure and quite beneficial to both the University and Sao Tome! Take it all in and enjoy. Make sure you say 'hello' to Jorge, Helcio and Elsa for me.

Wow that's a lot of traveling :) I'm going to assume you've already seen these tags. I love them, they're great for multi-stop trips. I don't want to sound like a walking billboard, so I'll just let you check them out :)

I am a new GSLIS student.

Although I don't reside in the IL area and may not be able to do any traveling at this time, I am still highly interested in learning more about this project. Will there be a Phase III?

For the past ten years, I have worked in libraries in nearly every capacity, especially with computers (e.g, setup, troubleshooting, maintenance) and networking.

In addition, I am interested in returning to my "architectural roots" as I have a Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering Technology for a Mississippi university.

Thanks and I hope to hear from someone soon about this wonderful endeavour.

What a tremendous experience. The details help to visualize what your life there. I especially liked the idea of practicing Portugese with a chicken!
